The Caldwell Zoo was founded in 1953 By DK & Lottie Caldwell as a gift to the Tyler, Texas community. Mr. Caldwell believed in "learning through fun". His love for children and nature were the driving motivation. The zoo is home to over 3,000 animals and continues to grow and improve the exhibits.
