I needed an experienced Realtor to sell the house I inherited. I live out of state so
I wanted someone familiar with working with an out of state client. I also
required a "best in class" realtor which Kevin certainly was. In our
first meeting I found he has been in the business for over 22 years and he has
experience as an appraiser. Kevin provided
good comparables and offered advice on improvements. He gave me the name of a
flooring company that worked out very well.
There was good interest in the house the first week of the listing. An offer
was made only 6 days after listing. We went through several counter offers
before a final agreement was signed. Kevin set me up with an easy way to
electronically sign the counter offers and other docs from out of state. The final
price was pretty close to what the comparables indicated, about $105 per sq
ft.. Kevin picked an excellent escrow officer to do the closing. I was
surprised we could actually close as fast as we did - in about 5 weeks.
Kevin added more value beyond regular realtor duties. While I was out of state he
found people to buy some of my furniture. Kevin also has a trusted licensed
contractor he works with so I did not need to be at the house for repairs.
Kevin even offered to bring his truck and trailer to clean out the last items
in the house if needed. I offered to compensate Kevin for all the unexpected
and valued extra work but he refused saying "it is just part of the
package".
Overall the selling experience was excellent. This was one of those sales with
few issues but if there were any big ones, I have no doubt Kevin would have
quickly resolved them.
